BMW Club Winter Karting |
BMW Club Winter Karting fun and challenge at TBC Indoor Karting
A dedicated hour for our club members to have a fun set of on track challenges at TBC Indoor Karting.
Based on the hourly rate, we are selling spots for club members and friends to participate at $48 per person, for a maximum group of up to 30
Lots of fun and lots of Karting time. Come join the challenge, have some fun on the indoor karting track. Sign up now for January 21, time and date to be confirmed.

The Sixth Annual German Car Festival, a gathering of the various German premium marque brands is planned for Sunday June 24th. The event will start at Cypress Bowl parking lot followed with a short drive that ends at Waterfront Park for a display of the cars.

Details: This event is open to all members of the BC 8’s and all members of the BMW CCBC.
Come out and enjoy a relaxing Show & Shine, meet the staff at Norlang and take advantage of one of Norlang’s 6 lifts to have your car inspected by a qualified Technician (donation required* see details below). Have your oil changed in their new 4 car Lube shop.
Enjoy some freshly BBQ’s burgers and/or dogs. Enter to win some great door prizes from our support companies! Door Prize Draws at 1:30pm. Participants will need to be in attendance to win.
Everyone registered will receive one ticket for the prize draws but may purchase more tickets at the event.
* Tech Inspection donation fee is $20 Proceeds will to to the Langley Stroke Recovery Foundation
There will be two mechanics on duty to do inspections - by appointment.
Appointments for inspections will be 1/2 hr slots and booked with Tom Carter upon arrival - 1st come, 1st served.

Here's a link with lots of information about the Seattle Concours this year.
We've got the awesome E36 M3 as the featured car and expect some great examples, plus a great BBQ caterer on hand serving lunch!
Each person in either the Display or Judged classes will receive a great detailing sampler kit from Griots Garage, and the chance to win an $800 Cruise Bicycle from BMW Seattle.
Of special note, I've learned that our Pacific Region VP Steve Johnson is planning to DRIVE his E36 M3 to the Concours from San Diego, CA. Hopefully we can have a great turnout of BMWs and members to meet and greet Steve during his time in the Northwest.

Historic Races Car Corral at Mission - Aug 4-5 Weekend |
|
Come watch the vintage races and participate in a car coral. Several vintage BMWs including some from our club and Seattle will be participating.
Entry fee for Historic Motor Races is $10 per car.
Parking in designated areas for club groups. If we have sufficent sign up, we will organize a club corral area to feature and group our cars
This area is behind the grandstands, so very handy for track viewing of the races.
The Club can have a tent, or tents.... coolers food etc (though there are vendors... and pretty good ones). Participants could even organize a BBQ. But no booze.
The event attracts large numbers of spectators. On a good weather year we have 3500 +/- spectators and 80-100 cars. it is a fun weekend and free access to the pits / cars/ drivers etc. is included with your one admission price.
Currently there are 4 2002's, several 911'a and 2 356's, lots of FF's, a representative selection of ground pounders... Vette's, Mustangs, E-type, Tigers, and lots of British from 1958 Lotus 17s to MGA-MGA, Healys, Lotus Cortina's, Escorts FV's. So far 72 race entries, likely be 80. |

6th Annual BMW Car Club of BC Mount Baker Day trip.
A great drive to explore Mt Baker.
The drive to the alpine meadows at an elevation of near 5100 ft is quite exhilarating with lots of switchback for you and your BMW to enjoy.
Be prepared for US customs Crossing at the border.
There is no formal group lunch planned at this time, and we need a group coordinator for this even.
If you are interested in this day drive, please sign up, and we will try to organize the group based on sign ups. |

Airport Day Pitt Meadows - Wings & Wheels Show Sunday August 12 |

Our friends at Driving Unlimited are partners in Airport Day at the Pitt Meadows regional airport. On this Sunday August 12, the airport hosts this special day, and club members are invited to participate by displaying their cars in the Wings and Wheels Car and Airplane show, and also participating in the many activities that will be available.
Driving Unlimited is sponsoring trophies.
There is a separate entrance for the cars off Baynes Road straight on the apron. The cars can come in anytime up to 10 am, and the day is over sometime after 3pm, although they can leave whenever they have to.
Great family event, and members with kids they should bring them along, as there are free airplane rides for the kids. There are also some really good remote control airplane and jet shows, various fly by's of vintage aircraft and of course various aircraft will be on display. |

A weekend getaway to enjoy the wine region of BC.
So you can have fun and enjoy the wineries and the tasting tours they offer, we have arranged a package deal that includes a bus tour of a group of wineries along the Naramata Road on Saturday, and another couple of wineries and a BBQ at BMW Kelowna on Sunday. Group rate for Saturday overnight at the Days Inn Penticton.

Naramata has many superb wineries to visit, each in a beautiful setting, each offering a selection of award winning wines. Some offer a wide array of full bodied, barrel aged reds, delightful whites and even fruit wines. Others are small boutique wineries where often the winemaker is behind the tasting room counter. Several wineries offer menus ranging from a light snack to gourmet dining. With the rolling hills, meandering country roads and beautiful Okanagan Lake, a leisurely tour will be an Okanagan Experience to remember.
