| Event Overview

|
Are you interested in two days of driving through stunning scenery ranging from the coastal rain forest, high alpine valleys, semi arid high interior highlands and back to the coast? Not only is the scenery stunning with high mountain passes, and river canyons, the roads also offer their own unique challenges.
This trip offers a great cross section of what traveling in BC is all about. The trip takes its name from the 99 km second leg from Pemberton to Lillooet where the road climbs up into a 1500 meter high sub alpine valley that winds along Duffey Lake and ends up at Seton Portage in Lillooet in a hot semi arid area. From there we head down into the Fraser Canyon for a while, and then climb back up into the a high plateau that is the end of the BC portion of the north Cascades. As we head south and end our first day we find ourselves enjoying a country BBQ and overnight stay in Merritt. On the second day on our way home we explore Manning Park with a side trip to a lookout point at an elevation of 1920 meters, where we get to see enjoy the great views from a BMW filled parking lot over a mile up.
