| International Council Umbrella Clubs by Country |
| International Council |
 |
The International Concil is considered to be
th club link between the clubs and BMW AG. Here in part in their
own words is what they are about:
"The International Council of BMW Clubs grew out of
an idea by Dr. Horst Avenarius, long-time adviser to Eberhard
von Kuenheim, former CEO of BMW AG. The Council was conceived
as an umbrella body to coordinate the "living marque enthusiasm"
incarnate in BMW clubs worldwide. Today, the club membership
numbers in hundreds of thousands.
The Council is comprised of various market or continental Club
umbrella organizations from around the world. BMW AG is a coequal
and active member of the Council. Delegates from both groups
meet annually. Subsidiaries are encouraged to participate and
support their associated continental Club organization.
The International Club organization symbolizes and documents
the BMW Club idea on an international level, ensuring friendship
and partnership among all people who have established ties with
the marque. The Council and its members recognize and accept
the "Corporate Culture" concept of BMW AG. Moreover,
the body supports the unique BMW image in all areas of communication.
Members continuously strive to convey this basic philosophy to
their own associations around the world. " |

| Linking to us and link exchange policy |
|
Thinks to know about linking out site and our guidelines for reciprocal links |
|
Please consider these guidelines when asking for links to our site |
|
|
Things to remember about
BMW CC of BC:
We are a club for BMW owners and enthusiasts
We are a non profit club, we can not endorse commercial ventures on a for profit basis.
We are located on the West Coast of Canada.
We are not related to or endorsed by BMW Canada Inc, BMW NA or BMW AG.
We are a member club of the BMW Club of Canada .
Our purpose is non commercial.
Please do not steal our logo, it is our identity, and has usage restrictions. Check here for info. Written permission is required to use our logo.
|
Thanks to the popularity of our site, we get a fair number of requests for reciprocal links. This can be both a blessing and a real challenge. Since we are a club, and a non profit organization, responding to link requests from commercial sites is often an issue. It is also complicated by the fact that our logo contains not only our club info, but also the copyrighted BMW logo which we use with permission. So for those of you who are busy surfing, please note our guidelines for reciprocal links. We know they are subjective in some cases, but then this is our club, and we have guidelines on dealing with commercial interactions with a non profit such as ourselves.
|
|
Although somewhat subjective our criteria for reciprocal links include:
Good design & layout, Reasonable download speed, Interesting & reliable content, Contains NO offensive or illegal material, Not primarily commercial content, Does not represent a political or "special interest" group, Regularly updated content, Site owner must be easily reachable, the address and phone numbers of the site owner of business must be easy to find on the site. BMW or automotive help is main site subject
We do not enter into reciprocal link arrangements to drive web traffic, and we do not use banner advertising, or other link tracking methods.
|
|
If you feel your site has something to offer our members, and generally meets the above guidelines, please feel free to send us an email with the URL to your site, and a brief description of why we should link to it.
Send submissions to: webmaster@bmwccbc.org
|
| The BMW Club of British Columbia takes no responsibility for the content of sites we link to. A link to a site does not necessarily constitute support or endorsement of the site or for their owners, and in no way does the BMW CC BC accept liability for any loss or damage incurred by visiting these linked sites. |
| We request that you visit our logo-use page for the information on logo use limitations when linking to our site using our logo. Written permission is required to use our logo on your web site. |

We do use "cookies" in a limited way in tow areas to identify your log in, this happens in our electronic forum to track what messages are new since your last visit, and when you use the Karelo reservation system to identify you as a previous user, but that's basically it. No information linking is done to track you via the cookie.

We may also use the information to inform you about new events, activities, services and offers that may be of interest to you. These offers may be based on information you provided in your initial transaction with us or in surveys.
Declining E-mail Offers
BMW CCBC provides members with the option to decline to receive e-mail offers. Although most members tell us they appreciate receiving notices regarding our club, we recognize the importance of providing you with choices. At any time, you may request to discontinue receiving these offers from us by simply replying to the e-mail and informing us of your preferences.
Information Privacy.
It is the policy of the BMW Car Club of BC not to rent, sell or otherwise distribute the information it gathers about members and visitors to our site, as set out in our membership information privacy policy.

While we have no control that BMW CCBC's website and marketing materials are often viewed by children, we do not solicit data from them. BMW CCBC encourages parents and guardians to spend time online with their children and to participate in the interactive activities offered on the sites their children visit. No information should be submitted to, or posted at, BMW CCBC's web site by visitors under 18 years of age without the consent of their parent or guardian. We will not be held responsible if your child keeps asking for a BMW.
